Breakthrough Recovery Centre is committed to ensuring our website and facility are accessible to all individuals, including people with disabilities, because access to quality mental health and addiction care should never be limited by physical, sensory, cognitive, or technological barriers.
1.1 Our Commitment
We are committed to meeting or exceeding the requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) and its Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation, and strive to align our website with WCAG 2.1 Level AA wherever reasonably possible.
1.2 Website Accessibility
We work to ensure clear navigation, readable text alternatives for meaningful images, consistent structure, readable fonts and colour contrast, and forms that can be completed using assistive technology. We recognize some areas may not yet fully meet accessibility standards and are actively working to improve them.
1.3 Facility & In-Person Accessibility
We provide reasonable accommodations for clients with mobility, sensory, cognitive, or communication-related disabilities during admissions and treatment; train staff on accessible customer service under Ontario’s Customer Service Standard; welcome service animals and support persons; and accommodate individual needs in program delivery, including hybrid and virtual options. Please let us know in advance if you require a specific accommodation.
1.4 Alternative Formats & Feedback
If you need information in an alternative format (large print, audio, plain language) or communication support, contact our admissions team and we will do our best to accommodate your request. We welcome feedback on accessibility and will respond in a timely manner to concerns raised.
