1.1 About Our Services
Breakthrough Recovery Centre offers programs including detox and stabilization, residential treatment, behavioural addictions treatment, mental health treatment, co-occurring disorder (COD) treatment, Bridge Sessions™, Circle of Healing™, and hybrid/virtual programming. Program availability and eligibility are determined individually following a confidential assessment. Virtual or hybrid services are provided only where permitted by applicable professional licensing and regulatory guidelines.
1.2 Not a Medical Emergency Service
Our website and general inquiry channels are not intended for use in a medical or psychiatric emergency. If you or someone else is in crisis or immediate danger, call 911, go to your nearest emergency room, or contact a crisis line immediately.
1.3 No Guarantee of Outcomes
Recovery is an individualized process. While our programs are trauma-informed, evidence-based, and culturally responsive, we do not guarantee specific treatment outcomes for any individual.
1.4 Website Use
You agree to use the website lawfully, and not to submit false or fraudulent information, attempt unauthorized access to our systems, transmit harmful code, or copy or distribute website content — including program names such as Harbour Program™, North Star Program™, Guiding Light Program™, Lighthouse Program™, and Voyage Program™ — without our written consent.
1.5 Admissions, Fees & Payment
Programs are offered in varying lengths (e.g., 4, 6, 8, and 12 weeks) with costs confirmed directly with our admissions team. We may accept certain insurance plans and assist with coverage verification, but clients remain responsible for any balance not covered. Full payment terms are provided in writing prior to admission. Cancellation, refund, and withdrawal terms are governed by our separate Cancellation & Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
1.6 Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to provide accurate information during intake, comply with facility rules and program schedules, treat staff and other clients with respect consistent with our BREAKTHROUGH values, and refrain from bringing prohibited items onto the premises. We reserve the right to discharge a client where continued participation poses a safety risk.
1.7 Confidentiality
All clinical information is handled per the Privacy Policy above and applicable Canadian and Ontario law. Limits to confidentiality (e.g., risk of serious harm, legal reporting obligations) are explained during admissions.
1.8 Intellectual Property
All website content, including text, graphics, logos, and program names/trademarks, is the property of Breakthrough Recovery Centre or its licensors and may not be used without our express written permission.
1.9 Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Breakthrough Recovery Centre is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from website use or reliance on general site information. This does not limit our clinical, legal, or professional obligations to admitted clients.
1.9 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and applicable federal laws of Canada, with disputes subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Ontario courts.
