Jan Taliga

– MD
Served the Windsor community since 2013 as an adult and geriatric psychiatrist working across outpatient care and addiction treatment programs. He is dedicated to supporting patients whose mental health concerns overlap with complex medical conditions, including ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder or other neurodevelopmental disorders, and co‑occurring psychiatric and substance‑use disorders. He trained at Wayne State University and completed fellowship training in geriatric psychiatry at the University of Michigan.  

Sidonia Talmaciu

My name is Sidonia Talmaciu and I began my nursing career as a Practical Nurse after graduating from Durham college in May 2022. I later completed my Bachelor of Science in Nursing through Ontario Tech-Georgian College Bridging Program, graduating in May 2025. 

I have clinical experience in acute care, geriatric care, surgical units and mental health/addictions settings. My professional focus is mental health and addictions, and I am deeply committed to trauma-informed, evidence-based care and harm reduction. I strive to provide compassionate, respectful, and comprehensive care that recognizes each patient’s unique experiences and complex needs.

I am fluent in Romanian and Hungarian. Outside of nursing, I enjoy going for runs, reading and trying new recipes. 

Dr Bienenstock

Originally from Montreal, Dr. Bienenstock earned his medical degree at McGill University and completed his Family Medicine residency at UHN Toronto Western Hospital. He has additional training in Addiction Medicine, Psychotherapy, and Minor Surgery.

He is the founder and Medical Director of Comprehensive Treatment Clinic (CTC), a rapid-access, interprofessional addiction medicine clinic in East York. Dr. Bienenstock has cared for individuals with substance use disorders and concurrent mental health conditions across a wide range of settings, including hospitals, withdrawal management programs, residential treatment, outpatient services, and community clinics. He is proud to help people from all walks of life and all stages of recovery, including those who are highly vulnerable to working professionals. 

Since the inception of East Toronto Health Partners, Dr. Bienenstock has served as the Substance Use and Mental Health Lead, collaborating with community organizations to improve access to integrated, patient-centred care. He is cross-appointed in the departments of Family Medicine and Psychiatry at Michael Garron Hospital. His research interests align with his practice, as he is engaged in clinical research in the field of Opioid Use Disorder. Overall, he finds it most meaningful to assist people affected by addiction and mental illness. Outside of work, he enjoys squash, DIY projects, chess, dining, and travel.

Dave Young

Dave is a retired police officer and Registered Social Service Worker who provides supportive 1-to-1 and virtual counselling. His practice integrates strength-based interventions, Motivational Interviewing, CBT, and specialized approaches for addiction, grief, employment challenges, and depression. He offers a practical, compassionate, and goal-focused style grounded in real-world experience.
