This service recognizes that loved ones also require space to process, heal, and regain strength.

Loved One Therapy offers:

Supporting loved ones helps reduce pressure on the client and promotes healthier family systems.
What Loved One Therapy Is
Loved One Therapy is:
- Individual therapy for one person only
- Provided by a separate therapist
- Completely independent from the client’s care
- Confidential and not shared with the client or treatment team
This is not family therapy and does not involve joint sessions.
Who Loved One Therapy Is For
- The payor supporting treatment for another individual
- Or, if the client is the payor, one loved one chosen by the client
- Only one individual may access Loved One Therapy sessions.
When Loved One Therapy Occurs
- Sessions are scheduled:
- During the client’s treatment stay
- At a pace that supports the loved one’s well-being
- Independently from the client’s schedule
Where Loved One Therapy Takes Place
- Sessions may be offered:
- Virtually
- In person, when available and appropriate
